I’m pretty sure it always makes stuff up.
Sometimes it coincides with reality.

Next time, a quick first coat of clear will prevent that - the clear will bleed under the tape and will be invisible!
That was a user error, I had a little bend in the stencil. The other lines came out perfect. ![]()
I paid for the whole CNC, I am going to use the whole CNC… ![]()
Went 5mm deep with a 1/8 inch endmill at 2300mm/min and 24k RPM in Oak to clear the pockets. Like Butter.
I am one of the people waiting to get my money back from the beta kit fiasco. I was planning to build a 4’x2’ PrintNC to replace my 2’x4’ LRv4. I was interested in cutting steel plate.
Now that I’m trying to get my money back, I’m planning to buy a new printer, build another (full-sheet) LR and redesign my project work to stick with things that I could cut with it and outsource any steel production. It’s still very impressive to me.
Congrats! I’m jealous
I still think he might be back in a month or two but I also would have been majorly pissed off if it had been me who didn’t receive his. I must have annoyed him quite a bit, I basically wrote him weekly asking him for an ETA… So he made mine before building his big CNC.
Squeaky wheel gets the grease!
I don’t really care. I no longer want to do business with him, and I don’t want to get stuck with an incomplete order. I bought the kit because it was better than I could do sourcing the parts myself. Still want a PrintNC, but I’ll make due
Build Log Part I
I want one? Hahaha no i already have a big man cnc for my shop. I got it used and only had to replace the electronics and VFD.
Do you think the 4 “bed/base” parts are adding anything to the build? Seems it could ship much easier without them.
I am pretty excited to see it go together.
You mean the frame? It would be much easier without and it was by far the most expensive part, but I would not have built it without because I wasn’t going to drill and tap all those holes… ![]()
No just the 4 bottom tubes that the sides are bolted to instead of just a table.
They have holes drilled and tapped as well to attach the spoilboard and other gadgets. It also allows for squaring pretty easily. I also don’t really know how you’d screw the Y rails into the table. ![]()
All of those cuts were 25 minutes, including seven toolchanges and 5 minutes of rearranging the small boxes and changing some parameters in EstlCAM because I spontaneously decided to add them as well.
The smoking trays now have a cutting time (excluding toolchanges) of ~9 minutes, before they had 26…
Additionally, the endmill I was cutting with is basically dull… I ran my fingers over it and tried to cut myself (like, not really, but I would have cut myself if it had been a fresh endmill) and the cuts are still spot on. Going to get some of my old mills out again that are still better than the one I am now using.
The bowl endmill with 19mm Diameter is at 4.5mm DOC, 4000mm/min and 18000RPM. Works really well, I think I could go a little deeper.
That looks statistically significant, now try different thumbnails.
That only works if you let it auto generate them I think… And those are ugly. ![]()
You need photos of yourself looking shocked and disappointed!![]()
