yeaaah mine was about that tight aswell. i measured everything, which is hard, when all assembled. slot is ~2.1-2,2mm and the stacked belt 2,5mm. when the parts a slightly misaligned that leaves you with a 2mm gap which is really tight.

Make sure to not twist the stub, the misalignment still seems to be there.
