1/4" to 1/8" bit adapter advice needed.

I’m using a Makita 700 that accepts a 1/4" shank. What is anyone using as an adapter to get to a 1/8" 2 flute upcut?

Or are you using a stepped bit? I found this one, but it is a bit shorter than I would like.

My 16th inch bits have a 8th inch shank. Just need to find one with a long enough cutting area. Or find an appropriate collet.

Maybe?

Cool, Interested in the exact collet or bit people are using.

I found this yesterday. http://drillbitsunlimited.com/14-to-18-Collet-Adapter-P4895344.aspx
not exactly sure if this is what you are looking for.

Benjamin,

I just ordered the 1/4 to 1/8 adapter below from Mlcswoodworking I will let you know how it works.

Collet Adapter

Once I ordered that at one I figured the one from inventables below might have less run out as it has multiple grooves.

I’ve been using that Elairecorp adaptor linked by Barry for my Makita. It is a bit pricey but works great. Let us know how the cheaper one works out.
